The compression control skid that eliminates emissions from gas lift has now solved another problem –emissions from compressor rod packing. By doing so, the QuickSet™ control skid does away with another common source of methane emissions, without the need for additional equipment.
During normal operation, even with recently replaced packing, low-pressure gas leaks are common in reciprocating compressors. As packing wears, larger leaks occur.
In the past, these low-level fugitive emissions were a type of cost-of-doing-business that went with the job. In today’s world, with more attention focused on methane emissions, and satellite imaging being used by regulators and other groups, methane emissions are a bigger concern.
By solving the problem, QuickSet helps upstream and midstream operators breathe easier.
How QuickSet solves the problem….
In a typical installation, gas leaks from the reciprocating compressor are channeled in a manner to permit their escape. With QuickSet, this gas is allowed to flow back into the QuickSet skid where it is recompressed and reused as fuel gas or injection gas – problem solved!
Gas Lift Applications
The patented QuickSet system eliminates 100% of methane emissions resulting from gas lift operations. The unique, closed-loop design of the QuickSet makes this possible. The skid-mounted unit captures 100% of fugitive gas and repurposes this captured gas as fuel gas or injection gas. Liquid storage, scrubber dump events, and the need for methanol injections are a thing of the past. Total uptime is increased, and lease operating expenses are reduced.
Midstream Applications
In gathering and distribution applications, QuickSet eliminates fugitive methane emissions from reciprocating compressors and repurposes captured gas as fuel gas. Advanced telemetry and reporting provides remote notifications and diagnostics.
